Mit dem Verzehr von Spinat können die Augen geschützt werden. Das scheinen neueste Studien der Universität von Manchester zu bestätigen. Dabei entfaltet Spinat eine doppelte Wirkung. Zum einen helfen die Beta Carotine.
Davon enthält Spinat unglaublich viel, obwohl doch Spinat überhaupt nicht orange ist. Umgewandelt als Vitamin A, schützt es vor Nachtblindheit und vor freien Radikalen im Auge. Außerdem enthält Spinat Lutein.

*You can protect your eyes by eating spinach, as new studies by the University of Manchester seem to confirm. Spinach has a double effect, on the one hand due to the large amount of beta carotenes contained in it, even though it isn't orange at all. If this is transformed into vitamin A it protects from night-blindness and free radicals in the eyes. Furthermore, spinach contains lutein, more than most kinds of vegetables do.*
