Obwohl die Wintermonate noch lange nicht überstanden sind, bekomme ich trotzdem schon wieder Lust auf die verschiedensten Salate, Obst und Gemüsesorten. Das Supermarktangebot macht mir gerade nicht so Appetit. Ich dachte ein kleiner Ausflug auf einen Markt ist die richtige Anregung für weitere Monate Wintergemüse.

In der Markthalle 9 in Berlin Kreuzberg lachte mich die schönste Auswahl an:

Kohl rauf und runter, Schwarzwurzel, Winterkürbissorten, Kartoffeln und herrliche Kräuter….sogar ein paar Blümchen.

Man bekommt noch vieles mehr: ein tolles Kuchenangebot (gut fürs Gemüt), vegane Burger, herrliches Brot und noch vieles mehr gibt es in der wunderschönen alten Markthalle.

Außerdem gibt es neben den kulinarischen Köstlichkeiten auch ein kulturelles Programm: kulinarisches Kino, Buchvorstellungen etc. Besonders auch in den kalten Wintermonaten ist die Markthalle 9 gut geeignet für einen Besuch.

Ich denke bei mir gibt es heute Abend einen herrlichen basischen Kartoffelsalat…

*Despite the fact that the winter months are all but over, I already have cravings again for the most various salads, fruits and vegetables. The assortment of the supermarkets just isn´t very appealing to me at the moment. I thought a little excursion to the market might be just the proper inspiration for a few more months of winter-vegetables.

I found the most alluring range of offers in market hall 9 in Berlin Kreuzberg:

Cabbage of all kinds, black salsify, different kinds of winter-pumpkins, potatoes and delightful herbs... even a few flowers.

But there is much more: a great assortment of cakes (a mood-booster), vegan burgers, marvellous bread and a lot more can be found in this beautiful old market hall.

Furthermore, aside of the culinary dainties there is also a cultural program: culinary cinema, book presentations etc. The market hall no. 9 is particularly suitable for a visit during the cold winter months.

I think I will have a wonderful basic potato-salad for dinner...*
