Ich genieße meine Zeit in Los Angeles wirklich in vollen Zügen. Was ich tatsächlich am meisten mache, ist mich quer durch die Stadt zu essen. Meine Mitbewohnerin kocht zwar auch köstlich in unserem Traumhaus in den Bergen, aber es gibt einfach so tolle Läden, dass ich einmal täglich  (wenn nicht dreimal täglich)  außerhalb esse. Es gibt einfach so unglaublich viel Auswahl an kulinarischen Highlights in dieser Stadt, dass die Auswahl über Restaurants zu schreiben eigentlich unmöglich ist. Ich bin aber auch ein Gewohnheits-Tier  und gehe natürlich sehr oft an die gleichen Orte zurück, wenn es mir gefällt!  Ich habe sogar schon bei Stil in Berlin jetzt Tipps für La gesehen /passt gut weil hier tummeln sich einige Berliner) und kenne gerade die Hälfte der Empfehlungen.
Hier meine ganz persönlichen 5 Highlights für Frühstück und Lunch über Los Angeles verteilt. Die Kriterien sind emotional, subjektiv und man muss dazu sagen: ich liebe bowls. Los gehts:

*I am in love with the city of angels and able to enjoy every day immensely. What I do the most is eating around the city. Although my room mate is an excellent cook in our dream house in the mountains, I am eating out at least once a day. The variety of amazing and delicious healthy food you can eat in Los Angeles is outstanding, to write about all of them, is nearly impossible. I also like it to come back to the same places. I discovered that even Stil in Berlin is giving recommendations for LA (makes a lot of sense as so many Berliners are around) and I even only know have of the places Mary is writing about.
Here are my very personal 6 highlights for lunch and brunch all over the City. These are chosen out of personal preferences and you have to know: I love bowls. Here we go:*

Topanga Living Cafe (TLC) 
Das Topanga Living Cafe ist zu meinem zweiten Wohnzimmer geworden (ist tatsächlich auch NUR 1 Meile entfernt). Ich gehe dort zum Frühstücken, Mittagessen und ja sogar für den besten Yoghurt mache ich mich dorthin auf den Weg. Ich liebe jedes einzelne Detail dort. Jede Bestellung ist mit viel Liebe zum Details zubereitet. Geschwister aus Bali betreiben es mit sehr viel Herz. Ein absolutes Muss und einen Ausflug nach Topanga wert.

*Topanga Living Cafe (TLC)
Topanga Living Cafe is like make second living room - its actually only 1 miles away. I go there fore breakfast, lunch and even only for my favourite yogurts. I am just in love with every little detail. Each dish is with so much love prepared that you just will adore it. Brother and sister from Bali are running it with every beat of there heart. Its a MUST and absolutely worth a trip to Topanga.*

honey hi
Sollte es Euch nach Echo Park verschlagen, was es Euch sicherlich sollte, dann kommt Ihr an einer Bowl im honey hi nicht vorbei - sie sind ein Gedicht. Der ganze Laden ist schlicht und unaufgeregt, dabei so lässig und köstlich. Für ein leichtes Mittagessen oder einen ZwischenSnack absolut ideal. Danach dann weiter zu den Vintage Läden um die Ecke.

If you make it to Echo Park, what is surely a very good idea, you won’t be able to miss out on one of the amazing bowls of honey hi. The place is plain and casual - just the best for a light lunch or snack just before you explore the exciting sides of echo Park*

Sqirl (Silverlake)
An sich ist das Sqirl auf den ersten Blick nicht besonders spektakulär, wenn man dann aber der Schlange, die sich um den nächsten Häuserblock bildet, wird einem schnell klar- da gibt es was besonders Gutes. Die komplette Karte ist ein Highlight. Mein persönlicher Favorite ist “The Stella”, die vegane Version der ‘Sorrel Pesto Rice Bowl’… ein wirklich heißer Tipp.

*Sqirl* (Silverlake)
At first side Sqirl looks like nothing special but as soon as you see the people queuing around the big - you figure there must be something special going on. The complete menu is just full of highlights. My personal favourite is ‘The Stella’ - the vegan version of the ‘Sorrel Pesto Rice Bowl’ You gatte try!

Little Pine (Silverlake)
Little Pine habe ich auf einem meiner Sonntagsausflüge nach Silverlake entdeckt. Mein persönlicher Favorit ist der Avocado Toast (wie so oft). Es ist für mich der perfekte Ort, um eine kleine Shopping Tour bei 'Gift of Grab' zu starten, einer meiner liebsten Läden in Los Angeles.

*Little Pine* (Silverlake)
I discovered Little Pine on a lovely sunny Sunday, and had one of my favourite dishes ‘avocado toast’, which I can highly recommend. Sitting in the little garden is just the perfect place to start your Sunday in Silverklake, I went directly afterwards shopping to one of my favourite shops in Los Angeles: Gift of Grab

Gjusta (Venice)
Die Atmosphäre ist eine absolute Wucht in dem Laden - wild und wuselig geht es zu. Wer Hipster und viele Mensch mag, hat dort genauso so viel Freude wie ich. Das Essen gesamt ist toll, besonders das Brot und der Kaffee sind spitze. Für Brunch der perfekte Ort an einem Wochenende und danach ab an den Strand.

*Gjusta* (Venice)
The atmosphere is absolute unique and outstanding - it's wild and fidgety. Who likes hipsters and many different people to look at as much as I do, it's definitely the right place. The menu overall is great, especially the bread and the coffee. For brunch at the weekend its a real hot spot and afterwards directly to the beach.

*Tocaya*
Tocaya is a chain with a slith fast food character, but I still went there many times in West Hollywood and Venice. A delicious Mexican lunch bowl or wrap is for sure a very smart idea. I also like the quuacamole very much. Who likes Californian Mexican food is exactly the right place for a quick lunch. I saw ‘Mr. Big’ in West Hollywood there… no more words needed!

Tocaya
Tocaya ist eine Kette, mit einem leichten Fastfood Charakter, trotzdem hat es mich dort sowohl in West Hollywood als auch in Venice immer wieder hingezogen. Eine köstliche Lunch Bowl oder einen Wrap ist auf jeden Fall eine gute Idee. Auch die Quacamole ist ein Hit. Wer Lust hat auf Kalifornisches Mexican Essen, und nicht all zu viel Zeit hat, sollte Tocaya nicht aus den Augen verlieren. In West Hollywood habe ich ‘Mr. Big’ dort gesehen… mehr muss ich nicht sagen!
