Seit dem 19. Juli ist er da. Der neue Begleiter für urbane Yogis vom mobilen Yoga Studio, welches die urbanen Yogis in und um Zürich mit immer wieder neuen Locations überrascht. Sei es auf einer Dachterrasse, in einem Club oder in einer Kunstaustellung, POP UP YOGA taucht jeweils an den ungewöhnlichsten Orten auf . Yogis haben ihre Yogamatten stets dabei und sind bereit sie immer und überall auszurollen. Jetzt hat POP UP YOGA die eigene Yoga Bag Kollektion lanciert, die nun über den hauseigenen Webshop angeboten wird.

Bei POP UP YOGA nimmt der Community-Gedanke, globale Vernetzung und ethische Standards einen besonderen Platz ein. Für das Design und die Produktion der Taschen hat Deddou Burkhard, Gründerin von POP UP YOGA, mit Menschen aus aller Welt zusammen gearbeitet. Der Prozess hat im April vor einem Jahr begonnen.

Das Design haben die jungen, innovativen Südafrikaner von UMUZI entworfen. UMUZI ist eine Kreativ-Agentur und NGO in Jeppe Town, im Herzen von Johannesburg. Sie bieten Ausbildungsprogramme und Mentorships für junge Kreative aus benachteiligten Verhältnissen an und schaffen so eine Plattform zur Förderung des kreativen Ausdrucks dieser pulsierenden Stadt.

Deddou lag es am Herzen, dass bei der Produktion die ethischen Standards eingehalten werden. In Zusammenarbeit mit Gaby Schaller von conceptmakers gmbh, Production & Design von Accessoirs, entstanden die zeitgemässen und urbanen Bags. Gaby reiste für POP UP YOGA nach Sri Lanka, wo sie durch ihre bestehenden Kontakte den passenden Produktionspartner fand, welcher die Taschen fair produziert.

Mit diesen POP UP YOGA BAG’s sind gute Vibes aus aller Welt garantiert. Für deren Verbreitung in unseren Städten sorgen die inspirierenden Gedanken auf den Taschen. Sei es „I carry my dancefloor“, „I expand in stillness“ oder „my power pulsates“ – für jeden ist ein passender Spruch dabei.

*Your new friend was launched on the 19th July. It was introduced by the mobile yoga studio in Zürich that surprises its community with always new and exciting locations to practice yoga in. Sometimes on a rooftop, other times in a night club or in an art gallery, POP UP YOGA appears in unusual places - not only in the city of Zürich, but in other cantons of Switzerland, too. Yogis bring their own mats to the different venues and are prepared to unroll them everywhere. This is why POP UP YOGA created a YOGA BAG collection, that is now available in their brand new online shop.

Community, collaboration with great people from all over the world and ethical principles are of high importance to POP UP YOGA. That’s why Deddou, founder of POP UP YOGA, partnered up with people from around the world to create the design and manufacture the bags. It took her over a year to finish this special collection.

The design process took place in South Africa, where the bags were designed by the young and creative team of UMUZI. UMUZI is a design-agency and NGO in Jeppe Town, in the heart of Johannesburg. They offer trainings and mentorships for young creative from underprivileged areas and have established a platform to the creative expression of this pulsating city.

It was of high importance to Deddou that the bags were manufactured respecting ethical standards. Therefore the physical design and production of the bags happened in collaboration with Gaby Schaller, who just founded her own company specializing in production and design, called conceptmakers GmbH. Gaby travelled to Sri Lanka where she handpicked a trusted manufacturer, she had worked with in the past, to fairly produce the bags.

The final POP UP YOGA BAG’s promise good vibes from all over the world. 3 different statements inspire the urban yogi and give him / her a unique expression: “I carry my dancefloor”, “I expand in stillness” or “my power pulsates”.
