10 best vegan - raw food - organic restaurants and cafes in Los Angeles

Es gibt so ein unglaublich großes Angebot, daher hier meine 10 liebsten Orte für rein veganes und biologisches Essen über ganz Los Angeles verteilt. Es hat großen Spaß gemacht, ein tolles Café und veganes Restaurant nach dem anderen zu entdecken. Ich habe mich förmlich durch Los Angeles "gegessen".

*There is such a huge range of offers so I will only present my 10 favourite places for vegan and organic food all over LA. It was quite fun to discover one great café and vegan restaurant after the other. I virtually "ate" myself through Los Angeles. *

Sage Bistro // Echo Park, Culver City
Einen Besuch bei einem der "Sage Bistros" kann ich nur wärmstens empfehlen und dafür muss man kein Veganer sein. Unglaublich, was sie für tolle Salate, Gemüse, Sushi, Bohnen, Reis und Quinoa Variationen anbieten. Zum NIEDERKNIEN- ein absolutes MUSS. Es gibt ein größeres in Culver City mit großem Außenbereich und ganz besonders tollen Lampen. Und es gibt noch eine in Echo Park, das ist klein gemütlich und hipp. Zur Krönung hat es in beiden Bistros noch Kind Cream- die die besten vegane Eissorten überhaupt anbieten. 

*Sage Bistro // Echo Park / Culver City
I can only recommend a visit at one of the "Sage Bistros", you don't have to be a vegan to do so. It's simply incredible what great salads, vegetables, Sushi, beans, rice and Quinoa variations are being offered. It really will bring you to your knees - it's an absolute MUST. There is a larger one in Culver City with an extended area outside and particularly nice lamps. Then there is another one in Echo Park, more on the small, cosy and hip side. On top of that, both bistros offer Kind Cream - the best sorts of vegan ice cream ever.*

The Springs // Art District Downtown
Bei the Springs habe ich meinen größten und mitunter besten "Kale Salat" gegessen. Hier gibt es nur Raw Food. Es hat neu im Art District Downtown eröffnet. Die fast hallenartigen Räume haben eine freundlich warme Ausstrahlung.  Es ist einer kleines süße Boutique integriert. Neben köstlichen Salaten, Sushi und anderen Raw Food Angeboten, gibt es Juices, köstliche Smoothies und Eis.

I have eaten one of my best "Kale Salads" so far at the Springs. Springs offers only raw food and has just opened in Art District Downtown. The rooms are large and hall-like but nevertheless have a warm and friendly atmosphere. A small, sweet boutique is integrated into the store. Besides delicious salads, sushi and other raw food offers there are juices, delicious smoothies and ice cream. *

Cafe Gratitude // Venice
An diesem Ort habe ich meine meiste Zeit mit meinem kleinen Computer verbracht. Ob Frühstück, Mittagessen, Abendessen, Smoothies oder nur Snack, alles ist köstlich. Ich mag die Atmosphäre und die "Frage des Tages" bringt einen jedes mal wieder zum Nachdenken. Es gibt jeden Tag eine neue "Frage des Tages", klingt kitschig und anstrengend, ist aber schön. Hier mein detaillierter Besuch.

I have spent most of my time on my tiny computer in this place. Never mind if breakfast, lunch, supper, smoothies or just a snack, everything is delicious. I like the atmosphere and the "question of the day" will get you to think  time and again. There is a new "question of the day" every day. It may sound corny and trying, but it´s nice. Gracias Madre // West Hollywood
Gracias Madre gehört zu Café Gratitude  und ist köstlich. wer mexikanisches Essen mag, ist dort genau richtig, auch wenn es dort kein Fleisch gibt. Hier mein detaillierter Besuch.

Cross Roads // West Hollywood
Cross Roads ist etwas für die Freude der gehobenen veganen Küche. Der Küchenchef ist sehr bekannt für seine besonderen Kreationen. Die Atmosphäre ist großstädtisch, aber gemütlich. Eigentlich schön für eine besonderes Date. Die Portionen sind Überschaubar in der Größe und erhört im Preis. Man muss auf jeden Fall einige Kreationen bestellen. Für mich ist es mit dem Holz und der Aufmachung der Tische ein richtiges "Restaurant".

*Cross Roads // West Hollywood
Cross Roads is just the place for friends of uptown tastes regarding vegan food. The chef is well known for his special creations. The atmosphere is urban but cosy. It would be a nice place for a date, I imagine. The helpings are manageable in size and rather expensive. You definitely will have to order several creations. For me, this is a proper restaurant due to the wooden furniture and the presentation of the table.* 

Rawvolution // Santa Monica
Alle Köstlichkeiten bei Rawvolution sind roh, selbstredend bei dem Namen. Sie haben sich tolle Kreationen an Speisen ausgedacht. Es ist besonders bekannt für seine unterschiedlichen Rollen. Direkt mittig auf der Mainstream in Santa Monica gelegen, liegt es perfekt um dort nach einer Klasse bei Yoga Works Main seinen Abend ausklingen zu lassen. Untertags kann man auch draußen an der Straße das Treiben beobachten und in der Sonne sitzen.

*Rawvolution // Santa Monica
All the dainties at Rawvolution are raw, which is a matter of course, considering the name. They have thought up great food creations there, the place is particularly well known for it different rolls. Right in the middle of Mainstream in Santa Monica, it's perfectly located to finish one´s evening after a Yoga class at Yoga Works Main. During the day you can sit outside in the street in the sunlight and observe the goings on.* 

Real Food Daily // Santa Monica
Dieser Laden ist einfach super für jede hungrige Lebenslage. Brunch ist toll, Abendessen ist toll und selbst die hausgemachten kleinen süßen Teilchen sind ein Besuch wert. Es ist unprätentiös, ehrlich und dabei köstlich. Hätte ich so etwas bei mir um die Ecke in Berlin, das wäre traumhaft.

This store is simply great for every hungry situation. Brunch is great, supper is great and even the home-made sweets are worth the visit. It´s unpretentious, honest and delicious on top of that. I wish I had something like it just around the corner in Berlin, that would be marvellous.* 

Tierra Cafe // Downtown
Tierra Café ist fast wie ein Imbiss in einer kleinen Food Mall Downtwon. Dort essen viele Leute ihr Mittagessen kurz in der Arbeit. Es herrscht ein buntes Treiben und man fühlt den Alltag dort. Köstliche Gerichte und Snacks zum Mitnehmen werden angeboten. Man sieht es nicht gleich auf Anhieb, da es von mehreren Imbissen umgeben ist.

*Tierra Cafe // Downtown
Tierra Café is almost like a snack shop in a small food mall downtown. Many people have their lunch there during work. There is much ado and you can experience what the daily life there might be like. Delicious dishes and snacks for takeaway are being offered. You don't see right away that you are surrounded by several snack-shops.*

Cafe Flore // Silverlake
Café Flore ist ein niedliches Café auf dem Sunset Boulevard in Silverlake. Der ein oder andere Hippster ist inklusive. Es gibt sehr gute Gerichte mit Reis und Kuchen zum Dessert. Man kann nett an der Straße draußen sitzen und das Geschehen beobachten.

Café Flore is a sweet little café on Sunset Boulevard in Silverlake, one or the other hipsert included. There are delicious meals with rice and cake for dessert. You can sit in a nice spot outside and watch the scene.*

Elf Cafe // Silverlake
Elf Cafe ist ein veganes Restaurant in Silverlake. Ich selber habe es nicht geschafft dort hinzugehen, es hatte leider zu als ich da war. Es wurde mir aber von vielen Seite empfohlen, so dass es hier nicht fehlen soll. Es ist auch in Silverlake am Sunset Boulevard, und sieht vielversprechend urig aus.

*Elf Cafe // Silverlake
Elf Cafe is a vegan restaurant in Silverlake. I haven't managed to go there myself, unfortunately it was closed when I went there. But it has been recommended to me by many people so it definitely belongs on this list. It's located in Silverlake on Sunset Boulevard and looks promisingly quaint.*
